About Patriot
Patriot Consulting Technology Group is a Microsoft security partner and Cloud Solution Provider with 100+ employees — a family-owned business that puts employees before profits and runs a 4-day work week. We're growing fast across managed security (MXDR365), Microsoft security deployments, CSP licensing, and training, and we're building the finance function to match that growth.
About the Role
We're hiring a Chief Financial Officer to own Patriot's finances end-to-end and serve as a strategic partner to the President and leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-paced, growing organization: you'll establish the budget, forecast cash flow against our sales pipeline, manage treasury, and run day-to-day accounting — AP, AR, and collections.
You'll also help steer two of the most important moves in our company's future — our transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) and our international expansion. The role reports to the President and can be structured as full-time or fractional, depending on the right candidate.
What You'll Own
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Establish, own, and manage the company's annual budget
- Build cash flow forecasts aligned with the sales pipeline
- Lead treasury management and banking relationships
- Oversee employee and business expenses
Accounting Operations
- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and collections
- Run financial operations in QuickBooks Online and integrate it with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Own Sales & Use Tax compliance for our CSP (Cloud Solution Provider) licensing business
- Maintain clean, audit-ready books and a timely monthly close
Strategic Initiatives
- Help lead the company's transition to an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)
- Structure and support the finances behind international expansion
- Partner with the President and leadership team on long-range financial strategy
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years in senior financial leadership roles within fast-paced, growing organizations of 100+ employees
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online, including integrating it with Microsoft Dynamics CRM
- Deep expertise across budgeting, AP/AR, collections, cash flow forecasting, and treasury
- Comfortable operating either full-time or in a fractional capacity
Nice to Have
- CPA and/or MBA
- Background in MSP/MSSP, IT services, or Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) businesses
- Experience aligning the finance function with a CRM-driven sales pipeline
- Demonstrated experience helping an organization transition to an ESOP
- Experience supporting international expansion
- Strong command of Sales & Use Tax — ideally in a Microsoft CSP, software reseller, or licensing business
Compensation & Benefits
- $200,000–$300,000 per year, depending on experience
- Generous profit sharing when goals are met
- 401(k) — 6% Safe Harbor gift, no match required
- Employer covers $2,000/month toward health insurance
- $500,000 life insurance policy
- 4-day work week — every Friday off (76 days off per year)
- 15 days PTO plus 9 paid holidays
Why Patriot
We're a family-owned Microsoft security partner that puts employees before profits — a 4-day work week, no nights or weekends, and a leadership team that values trust and ownership over bureaucracy. As CFO you'll have a direct line to the President and a real seat at the table shaping our ESOP, our international growth, and the next stage of the company.
